Why I practise Reiki
What to expect from a Reiki treatment with me
When you come for a Reiki treatment with me, the first thing I offer is a sacred space, a sacred pause, a calm, welcoming environment where you can simply arrive as you are.
We begin with a chat about how you are feeling and what you would like support with. Sometimes people come with a specific concern such as stress, anxiety, disconnection from themselves and others, fatigue, or emotional overwhelm. Others simply feel the need to catch up with themselves, pause, reset, and reconnect with themselves.
You will then lie comfortably on a treatment couch, fully clothed, while I place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of the body. Reiki works with the body’s natural energy system, encouraging balance, relaxation and a sense of inner harmony. Using the distant healing symbol the Reiki can also clear your past and the Reiki will thread love back up through your timeline into the future. Not only that we can use Reiki to clear your home remotely through you.
Each session is unique. Some people feel warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of peace. Others simply drift into a restful state. Whatever your experience, Reiki gently supports the body and mind in returning to balance.
After the session we take a few moments to sit quietly and, if helpful, I may share any insights or suggestions for supporting your wellbeing.
Many people leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves. To be honest I don't know who enjoys more, my clients or me! It's a joy and a privilege
Reiki first came into my life many years ago, and it has remained one of the most profound and grounding practices I know.
What I love about Reiki is its simplicity. It does not force change or try to fix. Instead, we allow Reiki flow and I love how very easily the energy will go to where it needs to go, effortlessly, just like how our heart beats and our eyes sparkle.
In our busy world we often forget how powerful stillness can be. Reiki reminds us that when we slow down and bring gentle awareness to ourselves, something within us begins to heal, connect and restore.
Over the years I have seen many people experience deep relaxation, emotional release, renewed clarity, and a sense of returning home to themselves.
For me, practising Reiki is a way of holding space for that process quietly supporting people as they reconnect with their own inner wellbeing.
Me as a Reiki teacher
Teaching Reiki is one of the greatest privileges of my work. Reiki is not something reserved for a few special people. It is a natural ability that anyone can learn when they are open to exploring energy, awareness and presence.
When I teach Reiki, I focus not only on the techniques but also on helping students develop trust in their intuition and confidence in their own ability to hold space for others. My courses are relaxed, supportive and practical. We explore the foundations of Reiki, how energy flows through the body, and how to work safely and ethically with others. Just as importantly, students learn how Reiki can support their own wellbeing and personal growth.
Many people begin their Reiki journey simply to help themselves or loved ones. Over time, some feel called to go deeper and begin sharing Reiki with others. Supporting students as they step into that path , and especially teaching Reiki teachers, is something I find incredibly special. Watching someone grow in confidence, develop their own teaching voice, and go on to share Reiki with others creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the classroom.
It is a reminder that this work is not just about one person. It is about passing something meaningful forward.
