Making Reiki Part of Your Daily Routine: Returning to the Practice For You
For many Reiki Masters, the practice begins as something sacred and intentional. Time is set aside. Hands are placed with care. There is presence, awareness, and a deep sense of connection.
But over time, even the most devoted practitioners can drift.
Reiki and Immunity
Our physical body is alive because of the ‘life force energy’ (also known as chi, prana, mana, ki) which flows through it. If our life force is weak or blocked, we are more likely to get sick, but if it is high and free flowing, we more easily maintain health and a feeling of well-being.
Om Mani Padme Hum: Unlocking Its Spiritual Meaning and Meditation Applications
Om Mani Padme Hum is a mantra deeply rooted in the spiritual traditions of Buddhism, particularly in Tibetan Buddhism. This six-syllable mantra is not just a collection of words but a powerful invocation with profound spiritual significance.
Back to Reiki Basics
No matter where you are on your Reiki journey, which level you’re at, how much practice you have done or how many treatments you’ve completed, sometimes it’s good to go back to the beginning - back to basics.
Reiki Symbols and Mantras
There are four mantras and symbols in the traditional system of Reiki, three are introduced at Reiki 2 and the final symbol at Masters. Many new symbols have been introduced since the early teachings of Usui and are used alongside the more traditional symbols, by some practitioners.
Reiki and Wellbeing
Reiki (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’, a term used to describe a natural system to help bring about an improved sense of well-being and a positive feeling of spiritual renewal.
Reiki Meditations
Originally, Mikao Usui’s teachings were used as self-development tools, based on clearing the energy meridians and allowing the energy to flow freely and strongly. The energy store, hara, tanden or dantian will also strengthen. This will clear and balance the body - emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.
Sending Reiki over distance
As a practitioner, how do you send Reiki remotely? Distance, or remote, healing is taught at the Reiki 2 course, when the distance healing symbol is introduced and, although we practise, it is the one technique which students most frequently asked about.
Reiki, the Aura, and the Energy We Carry
Most of us grow up believing healing works from the outside in. Something hurts, so we treat the pain. We feel stressed, so we try to manage the symptoms. But many older healing systems, including Reiki, see things differently. From this perspective, healing starts in the energy field, not the body. And that energy field is often called the aura.
Reiki and the Year of the Horse: Moving Forward with Energy, Freedom, and Heart
As we enter the Year of the Horse, the energetic tone shifts in a noticeable way. Where the Snake invited inward reflection and quiet integration, the Horse calls us into motion. This is a year of vitality, courage, freedom, and forward momentum.
Bringing Your Body Into Balance
As we approach the Autumn Equinox, we invite you to use Reiki to bring yourself, and all aspects of your life into balance.
