Reiki Connections

We all recognise that Reiki brings us, and those we treat, into balance. It is a gentle healing energy which has the power to heal emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Reiki also promotes positive life choices and encourages us to look after ourselves.

Reiki Connections

Using Reiki is a really powerful way of making connections - starting with ourselves. The Reiki 1 Training is about us as individuals. Through regular self-healing, we start to bring our own bodies into balance, feeling and building our energy flow, learning about our energy and the energy of others, and how that affects us. We need to start with ourselves and accept that it’s ok to look after ourselves, to put ourselves first and to prioritise our own healing and wellbeing. We follow Usui’s example and undertake 21 days of self-healing following the Reiki 1 attunements, to strengthen the flow of Reiki and to connect within. It takes 21 days to create a habit…

Hopefully, you have built in a regular self-healing practice and include meditation as well as self-healing and self-care, and you can feel that deep connection to the ‘you’ within. If this has slipped recently, try to find some time, over the next few weeks, to re-introduce your self-healing practice and notice how you feel.

Most practitioners feel great when they give Reiki to others; whether you practise with your family and friends, or you have an established client base, you will know how good it feels to work with others and you may feel a connection during your treatments. You do not have to force that connection; let the reiki flow, relax and let go of your expectations and, again, see what happens. Observe and reflect. As we practise more, we begin to notice new sensations and recognise what these mean to us as practitioners.

Your treatments may change and that’s ok - go with it and see how you develop through your practice. Building a connection with a family member or a friend, through your reiki, is a magical experience.

If you are Reiki 2 trained, you can also use your distance healing symbol to connect to those loved ones, and to those who need healing, around the world. Remember to use this symbol to connect to your past and to send healing back to past events and to clear the path to the future.

Reiki can be used to connect to animals and your pets, plants, food, crystals, your home - anything you feel drawn to. You can also use it to clear out anything you no longer need in your life or to help you make positive lifestyle choices - maybe a change in lifestyle, diet or exercise plan, so connecting to a more authentic version of yourself.

We sometimes forget that we have this powerful tool to use to help us, especially when life gets busy or tough. There is a strong Reiki family which you can also reach out and connect to if you need help or support in any way.

Remember to build your connections this month and see how much stronger you feel through them.
