Using Reiki to Clear Your Home
Most of us use Reiki on ourselves, and with our family and friends, to clear and balance the energy. Now we are going to delve more deeply into using Reiki to clear, and enhance, the energy in your home.
Begin by assessing how the energy feels in your home; how do you feel in each room? How do you want to feel? Start by your front door; close your eyes, take some breaths to settle yourself and ask for the Reiki to flow. How does it feel? Clear and welcoming, or sticky, uncomfortable or unpleasant? Make a mental note and then take yourself to the next room or space and repeat the exercise. Continue working around your home, taking time to re-settle yourself each time and notice what you find. Include the stairs and upstairs rooms when you reach that area in your home. You can also do this by sitting in one room and imagining yourself walking around your house if you find that easier.
Once you have a feel for the rooms in your home, return to the starting point, or imagine yourself in that place, and ask for Reiki to flow for your highest good, and that of your home, and ‘see’ or imagine the Reiki flowing from you into the space around you. You can set an intention at this point - how do you want to feel in your home? Safe, calm, happy, protected… If a space needs clearing first, you can do this, sweeping the energy away and into the ground, or out through a window or door. Use your intuition to do what feels right in that space. As before, work around the rooms in your home until you have completed the task. When you have finished, take some time to assess how you now feel in your home. Is it clear or are there some areas which still need some work?
If you’re Reiki 2 attuned or you’re a Reiki Master, you can draw the Reiki symbols in the corner of the room, or at the entrance to your home.
Another way of filling your home with Reiki is to sit comfortably in the centre of your home, and settle yourself. Ask for Reiki and allow it to fill the space around you. As you continue, expand the Reiki energy into the whole room, then into the surrounding rooms, upstairs and even out into your garden. Again, set your intention for how you want to feel in your home.
In addition, if you clear the energy in your home, by cleaning, decluttering, or moving the furniture around, you often create a vacuum or an empty space. Use Reiki to fill that space so the old energy doesn't creep back into your home.
